This past Friday we got together with our good old Science buddies in Mrs. Flanagan's class for two totally awesome experiments that involves changes in matter! The first one we had to do outside because it got a little messy and sticky. We did three trials to see what would happen when we dropped Mentos into Diet Coke. The students quickly realized that a chemical change was taking place when the Diet Coke exploded out of the bottle! We also made our own silly putty at the end of the day. The students will get to bring it home some time this week!
We have been learning about landforms this past week. The students got into groups last week to become experts on one landform. They created posters, shared facts and even wrote songs to teach the class about their landform. We really enjoyed everyone's presentations!
