Welcome to our class blog!
Greetings 2nd graders and parents -
If you are reading this, then you must be in my class this year or have a child in my class...yeah! I have a special message for students and one for parents too!
Students -
Hi there! I have been busy getting our classroom ready for school to start. I am so excited that I get to be YOUR teacher this year. We are going to have so much fun and learn so many new things. You can go back and look at pictures on my class blog to see some of the things my students and I have done in the past. I hope you get to come to "Meet the Teacher" night on August 21st. You will get to see where you'll be sitting and receive a special little treat from me. You can also bring your supplies that night and help me organize them for the new school year. Looking forward to meeting you soon and enjoy the rest of your summer!
Parents -
I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This will be my 15th year of teaching....wow! I've been at Kaufman teaching 2nd grade since it opened back in 2006. I teach all subjects so your child will be with me all day! I have three children of my own.....twin girls going into 5th grade and a 5 year old son going into kindergarten so I can totally understand your concerns and worries as a new school year approaches. I promise it will be a fantastic year of learning for them!
I hope to see you at our "Meet the Teacher" night which is coming up on Wednesday, August 21st from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is a come and go event that allows you to meet me, see the classroom, and help your child organize their school supplies. Looking forward to meeting you soon and working together to make this a successful year for your child!
